I personally think that infants are the hardest to buy for. They'll more than likely love the wrapping paper and boxes more than anything you get them. So, if you happen to skip out on multiple gifts this year, I think it's completely understandable. However, if you're looking for ideas, I've complied 14 toys in my The Ultimate Christmas Toy Guide for Infants that'll promote development and independent play. As a single mom, I'm very much pro toys that'll let you get things done around the house or just have a few moments to yourself. A majority of these, my toddler had when she was little. Others are based on what I've bought for other little ones or based on reviews alone. I hope you find this list helpful and that it takes at least a little stress out of Christmas Shopping. Let me know what you've picked or add your favorite infant toy for others to enjoy in the comments below!

Sit-to-Crawl Sea Turtle // This sea turtle was one of our favorite toys when my toddler was little. Features lights and a press and go rolling feature to encourage crawling as well as songs, sounds and phrases - in a voice that sounds just like Crush from Finding Nemo.
Push & Pop Sensory Toy // A pop it made for the littlest of fingers. Encourages fine motor skills and provides easy, long-lasting entertainment.
High Contrast Baby Book Set // Did you know that most infants can't distinguish between colors? This black and white high contrast book set is a great introduction to the shapes and patterns of the world.
Ms. Rachel Surprise Learning Box // This surprise box is sure to be hit with its bright colors and plush accessories. The box even talks as your little one discovers and pulls out each item. A better alternative than having Kleenexes scattered across your floor.
Car Activity Center // Reviewers love this car activity center that grows with your infant from sitting to standing. Includes 120+ songs, honking horn, moveable windshield wiper, ball drop and shape sorter. Plenty of activities to keep your babe entertained and safe (as the doors close on all sides) while you get things done around the house...or just chill on the couch.
Stacking & Sorting Blocks // A toy that seems to make its way into every home at some point. Includes 10 blocks that can be sorted, stacked and dropped.
4-in-1 Kickin' Tunes Play Gym // This bestseller provides 4 ways to play - laying, tummy time, sitting, and take along - and grows with your little one up to 36 months. Features lights, music and phrases.
Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker // This sit-to-stand can detach for floor play or leave attached to support your babes first steps. Includes spinning rollers, turning gears and a pretend phone.
Circles Stacking Ring // This classic stacking ring strengthens hand-eye coordination and features different sized rings, weight and textures. I've also thrown these rings in a shallow baking pan to make a DIY splash bucket.
Music & Sounds Baby Ball // A plush ball that features 30 plus sounds and sayings. Includes sensors that recognize and respond to rolling, taping, shaking, and tossing.
Light Up Dinosaur Play Piano // A press to learn keyboard that features numbers, animals, music and sound. Activities include flip the book flap, rotating ball and many more. Comes in a large dinosaur or a smaller elephant design.
Rattle & Sing Puppy // An easy-to-grasp rattle that lights up when your baby shakes it. Features crinkly ears, songs and fun phrases.
Wrist & Sock Rattles // This set of rattles includes two wrists and a pair of socks for when your little one is ready to explore his hands and feet. Your baby's natural movement initiates the rattling noise...paired with the bright colors and different textures these rattles provide easy entertainment.
Sensory Teething Toy // Features bright colors, rattle rings, and silicon textures which makes this great for teething time and for play.
